ION has combined all the technical features in their armoury in the Seek Select. But even more importantly, the ION Seek Select has a special lining that no other wetsuit has, the revolutionary Graphene lining. Graphene is a modification of carbon. It has a special 2D structure and this is 20% warmer than any other wetsuit material. In addition, as you will already know from carbon twin tips, carbon it is super light. Carbon is also extremely robust. ION has managed to develop a lining that boosts wetsuit performance on all levels. If, however you may think this is just “marketing talk and advertising slang,” type Graphene into Wikipedia and see for yourself. Graphene Plush is used on the torso and upper legs.
Graphene linings were used in combination with the other ION premium lining ,Hot Stuff 2.0. Also used in other ION wetsuits, Hot Stuff 2.0 is very flexible and dries quickly. Of course, it also fulfils the main function, it warms your arms and lower legs.
The Seek Select 5/4 2022 wetsuit has a thickness distribution of 5mm on the torso and 4mm on the extremities (arms and legs) and ION has produced the most flexible neoprene for this suit. That means you have a very warm wetsuit, but you can still move very freely. A special pattern was used for the Seek Select wetsuit. This reduces the proportion of parts used and the seams. This further increases flexibility. The front zip also increases flexibility compared to a back zip suit. In addition, no water can penetrate into the 5/4 Seek Select. This is particularly important so that your body does not get cold and you can be on the water safely for a long time in extreme conditions. The seams of the Seek Select are sealed and the seam tape used means that no water can penetrate through the seams either.
