TX-LIGHT SINGLE SKIN CONCEPT
The single skin concept has high lift profiles and a very efficient depower. Reducing its weight to a minimum brings advantages in stability, drift and light wind handling. The single skin allows the use of the Flysurfer “B-Safe System” designed absorb hard impacts. The Flysurfer “B-Safe System” is one element that adds longevity to the kite along with the “TX-Light” materials used. Long length ageing and tear resistance, triple ripstop threads and enormous rigidity at only 33grams per m² make the TX-Light the perfect fabric. The leading edge consists of 44g / m² DLX + fabric which better protects against abrasion. Different levels of the “TX-Light” material optimises a specific area of the kite. Every “TX-Light” canopy is optimised for use and has high UV-resistant surfaces and air-impermeable/waterproof coatings to improve airflow when wet.

The drift in the Flysurfer Peak range is continued with the Peak 5. The Peak 5 is the lightest FLYSURFER kite and is the first choice of experienced snow mountain riders and adds infinite value for kite instructors. The characteristics of the single-skin concept make it a secret weapon for enthusiastic foiler. The fifth generation of the PEAK gives impressive performance.

Developed for expeditions on snow, sand or sea, a great kite for the ambitious freerider and perfectly accessible for beginners into the sport. Climb every mountain… your next adventure awaits!

Features

HYBRID WINGTIP TECHNOLOGY
Flysurfers Hybrid Wingtip Technology consists of two self-inflating cells on each side of the kite. The openings are protected with mesh material to prevent entry of snow or dirt/debris. Both wingtips have the proven Flysurfer foil kite drainage system. More efficient aerodynamics allow for tighter turning with consistent pull as well as increased resistance to backstalling. This means less wingtip flapping when you depower the kite. The bar feedback is considerably improved. The kite feels sporty and gives you a confidence-inspiring feeling.

B-SAFE SYSTEM
The B-Safe System is a (extra optional Y-) line configuration that slides along the B-level through eyelets. After activating the quick release, the bar moves 3m up the 5th line. The kite is reefed horizontally in the middle and reduces the wingspan to a minimum. The kite comes down gently and flags out. After reactivating the quick release system, you can launch the kite through the power zone. The B-Safe System is ideal for self-landing or for taking breaks.

CAMBER TRIM SYSTEM
Bridle levels of the kite are controlled by the “mixer” which is a pulley system which modulates the angle of attack and the profile camber. The “mixer” features a two-ring camber trim system. Moving the rings changes the relationship between the B or C level relative to the A level. The profile of the foil kite can be trimmed to be either flat or curved.

The fifth generation of the PEAK gives impressing performance with:

  • Excellent handling
  • Impressive stability
  • Efficient depower
  • Strong and consistent pull
  • Highest safety levels
  • Lowest weight and packed down size
  • Great resistance  to backstalling
  • Easy take-off and landing

Tech Specs

TX-LIGHT HYBRID CONCEPT
The HYBRID is the ingenious fusion of two foil-kite constructions, combining the depower and stability of a single skin with the water launch ability, control, and handling of a double skin. The canopy material features UV-resistant fabrics, airtight coatings, and hydrophobic properties to improve airflow when wet.

PERFORMANCE TUNER
The performance tuner is a knot ladder integrated into the C-pulley line to modify the camber of the kite. Moving the Z-Main Line affects the bar forces and performance of the kite. Shortening increases low-end power and steering/holding forces. Lengthening does the opposite, decreasing maximum power, and steering/holding power.

FRONT LINE SAFETY SYSTEM
After the activation of the quick-release system, the kites power flags out on a single front line attached to the opposite side of its leading edge. When sorting the bridle lines, note that the cross-main line runs to the other side of the leading edge. This is required to ensure minimum pull of the HYBRID kite due to its low aspect ratio.

HYBRIDFOILING
The fun factor is always our top priority. A big love of KiteFoiling makes this foil kite unique. Flysurfer tested the kite with 1200 cm² – 2000 cm² front wings in small waves and loved the kites performance and drift. The development team said that they’d never had so much fun in conditions where you normally start struggling. The HYBRID gives you the confidence to grow beyond yourself.

THE KITE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Sports holidays with the whole family! Exercise is great for personal development and wellbeing. We all know the challenges of traveling with heavy luggage. The minimal pack size and low weight of the HYBRID is the solution. In use, the kite allows young shredders to make progress intuitively and independently. Parents can then easily fly the HYBRID and go KiteFoil and enjoy their session.

ENTRY INTO THE SPORT
Flysurfer had one goal in mind. That was to make kitesports more accessible, safe and easy to use. After extensive long-term tests with our partners, Flysurfer are convinced that they may have revolutionised entry into the sport. The HYBRID is a must-have for every water sports station and makes kiting possible in places that may have been thought to be un kiteable.
