The Slick is Duotones latest Freeride & Freestyle Wing featuring the Mini Boom – designed to enhance your flying experience with increased lift, power, and hang time. The Slick boasts exceptional stability and balance, allowing for a smooth ride through gusts and lulls.

The new version of Duotone’s Mini Boom Wing was crafted with a clear objective – to amplify power while expanding the wind range and increasing the sweet spot. Not only does it provide more lift for jumps and Freestyle tricks, but it also will have you flying on the foil with minimal pumping, making a huge difference in light winds and for less experienced riders. Options on the Mini Boom are the Silver (Alloy), Platinum (Carbon) and the Platinum SLS (Carbon) which are selectable from the drop down menu.

The MOD3 canopy makes a significant impact on the wing’s performance, enhancing its grunt, low-end power, and direct response due to its low stretch characteristics. The higher modulus fabric and construction details ensure that the Slick’s shape and profile remain, even in strong gusts, resulting in rapid acceleration without the need for hand placement or riding position adjustments. Furthermore, the MOD3 canopy improves the wing’s longevity and durability.

The deeper profile enhances the lift and makes for a smoother power delivery and provides a forgiving ride feel making it easy and intuitive for riders with varying experience and different wind conditions. This feature enhances the learning curve for beginners, enabling them to master the basics quickly. Additionally, the constant and predictable pull makes it easier to execute freestyle tricks and rotational jumps with ease. The Slick’s refined strut flex and wing tip angles ensure consistent power delivery and a smooth and consistent ride through gusts.

Two well-placed windows on each side of the wing provide good visibility, so you never have a blind spot, without compromising the wing’s lightweight feel. With three Miniboom options, from the Aluminum Silver, to the Platinum and Platinum SLS in Carbon, there’s an ideal option for every rider. The Slick Miniboom is also backwards-compatible with all Duotones previous generation of Slick Wings.

The 2023 Slick flags out and steers exceptionally effortless when held by the refined front handle and remains neutral and balanced in the surf or when going downwind. That being said – the Slicks infinite options in hand placement make it the ideal choice for both Freestylers and Freeriders alike. Mini boom: Direct steering with infinite hand placement. The mini boom allows you to place your hands wherever you want which is a massive plus from learning the basics to the most advanced carves and freestyle moves. The three Mini Boom options of the Silver (Aluminium), the Platinum (Carbon) and the Platinum SLS are all compatible with the Standard Slick, the Slick SLS and the Slick D/LAB Wings so if you have a Non SLS Duotone Slick wing Mini Boom that will fit the Duotone Slick SLS and Slick D/LAB wing range and vice versa. Select from the menu. (Duotone recommend the Platinum SLS Mini Boom for the Slick SLS and Slick D/LAB.)

Positive lift: Easy for tacks, “lifty” for jumps with various new design features which give the new Slick a positive lift, translating in easy and light feel through all sorts of manoeuvres and jumps.

Fast response: The Penta TX leading edge and strut gives the wing a crisp and fast response to your steering which has benefits for pumping, acceleration and all sorts of freestyle moves, carves and rotations.

Moderate wing span: The new Slick has become slightly wider in span through development since the 2021 and 2022 Slicks which helps drift stability and power delivery, yet it still features a compact outline which helps smaller/shorter riders to keep the wingtips clear.

Great stability: Light, neutral and effortless on the wave, with an incredibly stable centre of effort while going through gusts and lulls.

UK Mainland delivery :

Orders under £85:

Orders for Surfboards, large Foil Boards and large Twin Tips: £24.95

Delivery times are based on standard working days being Monday to Friday, no Saturday deliveries, excluding public holidays.

Orders for Next Day delivery must be placed by 1pm, but please call if it is after this time as we may be able to put Next Day orders through till 3.30pm. Next working day delivery ONLY applies for Mainland UK.

Additional costs for larger items and next day services may apply for locations such as Scottish Islands, Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight, Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man, please contact us if you need to clarify this?

Upon receipt please you are required to check all items to ensure nothing has been damaged in transit before signing for them. If any damage is visible, please ensure you sign as “Damaged” and you are with your rights to refuse to accept delivery and ask the courier to return them to the sender. It is your obligation to inspect and confirm that the goods are in perfect condition before signing.

If the goods are damaged and not signed for as such, The Watersports Centre cannot accept any liability and it will not be possible for the item(s) to be replaced or reimbursed.

Orders to the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey

For customers placing orders with The Watersports Centre from Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man – It is highly important (and we recommend that you check your national import policy) that you understand and budget for any import taxes that you may have to pay.  The Watersports Centre is not responsible for any such charges and if they become due you should be contacted by your customs office. 

Unfortunately, if The Watersports Centre sends an item out and it is then rejected by the customer due to these import charges you will receive a full refund for the item when it is returned to The Watersports Centre less the total shipping and returns costs. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions on this subject.

Please be aware that customs are presently experiencing delays in some European destinations such as Spain, Italy and Germany. Please be patient. The issue arises with customs processing. Cancelations while orders are held are not possible as at that stage we cannot recall the shipments. Once delivered, orders can be returned as normal subject to our usual terms and conditions.

Please note that customers ordering with The Watersports Centre from outside the UK that the UK have now left the European Union and that on orders leaving the UK, no UK VAT will  be charged and as a result the price you see and pay will exclude UK VAT. Important: please be aware that you may be liable for import VAT when you receive the item in your destination, this is likely to be different for different locations and as a guide the UK VAT rate is presently 20% but the sum you may be charged may be between 20% to 27% of the order cost. It is essential that you understand and budget for any import taxes that you may have to pay.  The Watersports Centre is not responsible for any such charges and if they charges are due you should be contacted by your countries Customs office.

We have no control over these costs/duties/tariffs and you will need to research these costs on your government website and take them into account when placing the order as the courier will not deliver your order until these are paid. 

When the courier is ready to deliver, they will get in contact with you for payment, if you then decide that these fees are too much you are well within your right to refuse delivery but these fees do not go away. Your item will then be returned to us, and we will have to pay the fees as well as return shipping costs, extra customs fees (for coming back into the U.K.) and admin fees. Once these fees are paid we will refund your order minus these extra costs. We will not know the exact amount we will be refunding until we have paid all fees and have the order back with us.

Exchange rates vary constantly therefore The Watersports Centre cannot guarantee the price of an item in any other currency except GB Sterling. The payment taken from your account will be GB Sterling so you will have to check how your bank will process the payment and what charges they may impose.

Our Courier companies will also require proof of ID when shipping to Norway and Switzerland and will ask to see a passport or driving licence before we will be able to ship any items. Customers from Norway and Switzerland will be contacted after placing an order.

Please note we cannot accept any orders to be shipped into the EU under the total product order value of £150, any orders placed under £150 (excluding delivery costs) to be delivered into the EU will be rejected.

In exceptional circumstances we may have to contact you if a destination evokes additional charges.​

If for any reason you would like to return your item(s), then please be aware that we have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to return such goods to us and they must be in their original condition (with packaging and tags intact). You’ll also need to provide us with the receipt or proof of purchase.

We will either exchange the item, issue a full refund or a credit note on the site. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items.

Please note that if goods are not returned in the condition in which you received them we reserve the right to refuse such returns.
If you would like to exchange or return your item or have a warranty query please follow the link below and submit as much information as you can so that we can process your request as swiftly as possible.

For any wetsuit warranty you must send the suit clean and dry as we will not be able to process a wet/dirty suit! 

Any item returned to us is at your own risk and cost. Please note that we will not be liable for any loss or damage to any returned items in transit and products remain your responsibility and property until we receive them. If returned items are lost or damaged in transit, we will have to charge you (or not to refund any amounts that may have been payable) for such loss or damage. We recommend that you use a recorded / tracked service and ensure that the item is/items are suitably insured to their replacement value.

You must send any item(s) you intend to return in the original packaging. Once your return has been delivered to us, please allow up to 5 days for your order to be refunded or exchanged. Please allow up to 5 working days for your refund to be processed by your payment provider.

Please bear in mind items that are “not wanted” or ordered in error (i.e. wrong size/colour) will be not be refunded for the postage costs that have been charged. Where free delivery was provided on orders over £65 including Surfboards, large foil boards and large twin tips and large box deliveries the P&P costs incurred will not be refunded.

PLEASE NOTE:  We can only generally accept courier and postal deliveries to our registered office or warehouse. Please contact us for the appropriate address.
